Citibank Forms Single Global Markets Unit; Simmonds Assumes New Responsibilities

Citibank has formed a single Global Markets unit under executive vice president Ernst Brutsche, which now combines the former capital markets and trading group with corporate finance and cross-border finance. In the restructuring, Julian Simmonds assumes global responsibility for FX, fixed income, funding, warrants and Japan markets.

Meanwhile, Dipak Rastogi will head investor marketing and financial engineering; interest rate and cross market derivatives; equity derivatives; and emerging markets
