HSBC closes NY prop desk, shuffles management

HSBC closed its prop desk in New York and made a number of changes to its management line-up, following the promotion of Andrew Brown (left) to head of foreign exchange. Gary Nettleingham was promoted to Brown's former position as European head of FX, while trader Stuart Scott was made head of spot, replacing Brown. In sales, Adrian Boehler was made head of FX sales for Europe. Prop trader Henrik Jensen left the bank.
