Lawes is on BoA Merrill's side
LONDON - Jamie Lawes will join the London spot foreign exchange trading desk at Bank of America Merrill Lynch next month, according to sources at the bank.
Lawes will start in the first week of September in a trading role with responsibility for the commonwealth currencies, sources told FX Week. Lawes was most recently with TD Securities in London but departed on June 29 after 13 months with the Canadian bank, where he specialised in trading dollar bloc currencies (FX Week, June 9, 2008).
