XTX Markets appoints Eric Swanson as CEO for Americas
Swanson departs Bats Markets after nine years and will start his new role on June 1
Eric Swanson, ex-general counsel and corporate secretary at Bats Global Markets, has joined non-bank market-maker XTX Markets as chief executive for the Americas, effective on June 1.
Prior to joining Bats in 2008, Swanson worked for more than a decade in various roles at the US Securities and Exchange Commission, including as assistant director with responsibility for oversight of exchange and broker trading systems.
