Shay leaves as Nasdaq reshuffles business under Wittman

The US stock exchange moves to combine equities and Ficc teams to better serve clients

New horizons: John Shay has decided to leave Nasdaq less than a year after joining

John Shay, a senior vice-president and global head of fixed income, commodities and clearing (Ficc) at Nasdaq, has decided to leave the firm, FX Week has learned.

Shay’s departure comes as Nasdaq moves to combine its equities and Ficc teams under one structure, led by Tom Wittman, head of global trading and market services, FX Week understands. 

Wittman was previously executive vice-president and global head of equities. He will retain his executive vice-president and head of equities title.
