Johnson trial to resume on Monday

Judge falls ill, trial to continue on Monday; on Wednesday, Dipak Khot, testifying for the prosecution, underwent six hours of questioning

The trial against former HSBC executive Mark Johnson will resume on October 2, after the presiding judge in the case fell ill. This means the cross-examination of prosecution witness Dipak Khot will resume on that day.

On September 27, the third day of the trial, tensions rose in the courtroom as Khot, who turned prosecution witness in exchange for a pass on the charges that Johnson is facing, came under cross-examination from the defence.

Khot testified on Tuesday that he had expressed
