RBA appoints Jones as FX head

International role: Bradley Jones will join the RBA in early 2018 from the IMF

The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) has appointed Bradley Jones as head of the international department, which is responsible for the central bank’s foreign exchange operations.

The position was previously held by Chris Ryan, who retired earlier this year.

The department is also responsible for the investment of international reserve holdings of gold and foreign exchange, maintaining relationships with major financial institutions, and providing regular advice on market developments to both
