Charles Randell becomes chair of FCA

He will replace Griffith-Jones at the helm of the UK regulator in April

Charles Randell is set to become the chair of the Financial Conduct Authority for a five-year term, effective on April 1.

Randell will replace John Griffith-Jones, who became board chair of the newly created FCA in April 2013. Randell will also serve as chair of the Payment Systems Regulator (PSR).

Randell currently serves as an external member of the Bank of England’s Prudential Regulation Committee and as a non-executive board member of the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial
