Wood trades Edgewater for Mirexa
Wood is a veteran EM currency specialist who began his career at Standard Bank in South Africa
Emerging market specialist John Wood has left Edgewater Markets to become a member of the New York-based FX sales team at broker Mirexa Capital.
He joined Edgewater in 2016 as a director of corporate and institutional sales with the aim of expanding the firm’s presence in emerging markets. Wood previously worked at Standard Chartered Bank from 2010 to 2014, specialising in African and emerging market currencies.
He began his career in FX in 1989 as a corporate sales trader for Standard Bank
