Claus Nielsen, head of markets and member of the executive management group, has left Saxo Bank, FX Week has learned.

The Copenhagen-based foreign exchange veteran joined Saxo in 2003 as head of markets from Jyske Bank, where he was the head of trading. He worked for Jyske Bank for 17 years between 1986 to 2003.

At Saxo, he became a member of the executive management group in August 2008 while retaining his title as head of markets. In his role, he was responsible for all trading operations in
