Gkionakis moves to Lombard Odier

Vasileios Gkionakis turns to private banking after seven years on the sell side

Vasileios Gkionakis is heading to Lombard Odier to become global head of FX strategy, FX Week has learned.

London-based Gkionakis joins the Swiss private bank from Italian bank UniCredit, where he held the post of global head of FX strategy since 2012.

Prior to that he was an emerging market strategist at Bank of America between 2011 and 2012. Earlier, he was a quantitative macro strategist at Fulcrum Asset Management from 2006 to 2011.

Lombard Odier declined to comment on the move.
