Bogucki seeks trial delay until Johnson review

US opposes motion, arguing a delay could erode witnesses’ memories of alleged misconduct

Robert Bogucki’s attorneys have asked a California federal judge to postpone his upcoming trial, until a New York appeal court reviews what they believe are similar issues outlined in a petition brought by a former HSBC banker recently convicted of fraud.

Attorneys at law firms Kaplan Hecker & Fink and Clarence Dyer & Cohen argue that a stay in the case would show judicial economy, and should not present a prejudice since Bogucki is “anxious to be exonerated”.
