Tushar Morzaria has been appointed chair of the Working Group on Sterling Risk-Free Reference Rates, taking over from François Jourdain, who has led the body since its launch three years ago.

The Bank of England and the Financial Conduct Authority announced that Morzaria will start his new role at the start of 2019. He is the finance director at Barclays Group, and has been a member of its board and executive committee since 2013.
