Godall joins Mizuho in London
Asif Godall spent 17 years at HSBC in various senior roles
Markets veteran Asif Godall has been hired as head of global markets for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Mizuho Bank.
The appointment will take effect on March 25, pending regulatory approval.
London-based Godall replaces Zahra Peerbhoy, who has left the bank.
Godall joins Mizuho from Cairn Capital, where he was co-chief investment officer, overseeing investments across multi-asset credit, structured credit, real estate and collaterised loan obligations.
