Northern Trust promotes Arteta to head of Americas sales

Based in Chicago, Arteta brings a wealth of FX and fixed income experience to the role

Ernesto Arteta has been promoted to head of foreign exchange sales for the Americas at Northern Trust, an appointment the US-listed bank says demonstrates its commitment to global currency trading.

Based in Chicago, Arteta has more than 25 years’ experience in sales, trading, structuring and portfolio management of fixed income and FX cash and derivatives. He was previously vice-president of fixed income at Northern Trust Securities, a role he began in June 2007.
