CLS has appointed European Central Bank (ECB) director Marc Bayle de Jesse as chief executive officer, effective from December 2, the foreign exchange settlement firm has revealed.

He brings extensive global market infrastructure and payments experience to his new role.

Bayle de Jesse will move from his current post as a director-general, market infrastructure and payments at the ECB. He has also chaired the market infrastructure board for the past three years and is a member of the Bank for
