Former CFO of Nex Optimisation starts his new role next month

New role: David Ireland began his career as a FX trader at Chemical Bank in 1993

David Ireland is to take on a new role as chief financial officer at non-bank liquidity provider XTX Markets next month, FX Week has learned.

Ireland was previously chief financial officer at Nex Optimisation for almost three years.

He joined Icap in 2011, and spent five years in various roles, including head of group finance.

In 2016, Ireland was appointed chief financial officer at Nex Optimisation and held the post for almost three years.

He began his career as a foreign exchange trader
