Ramchandani files complaint against Citi in NY court

Complaint filed in New York court claims false assertions made against him by bank

Former Citi trader Rohan Ramchandani filed a complaint against his former employer in the US southern district court of New York on October 2, accusing the bank of making false assertions against him to US investigators and the press amid investigations by US prosecutors into price fixing in foreign exchange spot markets.

The complaint states that Citi fired Ramchandani without cause in January 2014 and alleges that Citi subsequently “made knowing and material misstatements to the US Department
