Former Barclays trader lost large trade when defendant delayed pricing it for him

Jason Katz, a key witness in the US criminal case against Akshay Aiyer, said he was using the JP Morgan trader to get complicated trades off his hands, because he had no interest in transacting in certain currency pairs but still wanted to satisfy his salespeople.

Evidence put by the defence during cross-examination on November 12 showed Katz, a former trader at Barclays and BNP Paribas, would give Aiyer his non-deliverable forward (NDF) orders to trade, and at one point he lost a customer
