EU benchmark reform beset by delays

Attempts by the European Union to regulate benchmark administrators across the region have hit problems as parliamentarians failed to agree on which financial benchmarks should be included within its critical and non-critical framework.

Speaking at the Futures Industry Association (FIA) conference in Boca Raton, US, Kay Swinburne, a member of the European Parliament, said discussions had "fallen apart" despite the deadline for a decision being set for the week of March 9.
