No payout: the ex-RBS trader will not be compensated

Ian Drysdale, a former senior trader at Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) who was fired for gross misconduct in 2014, has won part of an employment lawsuit, but will not receive any compensation, a judge has ruled at a London employment tribunal.

Judge James Tayler said "it is not just and equitable that he receive compensation", although RBS's serious procedural failings made the dismissal technically unfair.

Drysdale, who filed a claim for unfair dismissal and breach of contract, told the court
