De Groot employment hearing starts with closed preliminary session

The former head of spot currency trading at BNP Paribas, Bob de Groot, has launched his campaign in the unfair dismissal case he brought against the bank, arguing that he had been let go from his post for being a whistleblower.

The April 18 preliminary hearing in Central London was heard behind closed doors, to allow the judge to review the documents presented by the claimant and the respondent and determine whether their revelations could be allowed in open court.
