Jury selection to begin in alleged front-running case; judge postpones original date by a week at status conference hearing

The trial of Mark Johnson, one of two HSBC executives charged with conspiracy and wire fraud, is scheduled to begin on September 25.

In a status conference on August 31, New York District Court judge Nicholas Garaufis decided to push back the trial by a week to accommodate Jewish holidays and jury selection will begin on September 18.

Johnson and his alleged accomplice, Stuart Scott, are facing an 11-count wire fraud indictment, handed down by US authorities on August 16, 2016.
