Bank of Montreal in Chicago has hired First Chicago's former chief spot dealer Steve Matsuo as a senior proprietary trader, an official confirms. Matsuo left First Chicago a few weeks ago (FXW, April 14). BMo has also hired Gerry Connor to trade dollar/Swiss franc. Connor, who comes from a similar position at AIG, will report to spot chief John Martin.
Meanwhile AIG has made some new hires in Hong Kong. Gregg Romuntd will run the Asian currency options business in Hong Kong, says Gary Davis
