ECHO's Steering Committee Reviews Plan Late '92 Start Eyed? More Banks Needed

While wedding bells chime in North America for the Canadian and U.S. banks (FX Week, February 1), the European banks involved in the European Clearing House Organization (ECHO) multilateral netting project are moving closer to getting their system off the ground as well. Graham Duncan, ECHO manager, says that ECHO could very well go live late next year.

He says that a detailed business plan has been submitted to the eight-bank ECHO steering committee for a decision later this month. If approved
