BIS Committee Will Issue Revised Version Of Capital Proposals In Fall, Says Crockett

The Bank for International Settlements' committee on banking supervision is likely to issue revised proposals on capital adequacy against market risk and netting for banks during the fall, rather than coming out with directives straight away, according to general manager Andrew Crockett. Many market observers had hoped that the BIS would put the netting proposals into effect before the summer break this year.

In an interview with FX Week at the BIS's annual meeting in Basle, Crockett said that
