EBS moves into netting

The Icap-owned EBS has teamed up with platform vendor Traiana to offer a pilot netting solution with banks including ABN Amro, and is using the working name NetLink. It said the software is designed to help banks streamline their back office processing and manage larger ticket numbers for trades with their prime broking customers.

The move is being seen by market observers as a move to head off the challenge presented by CME/Reuters joint venture FX MarketSpace.
