IBM to launch blockchain-based payment solution

Initially available in the Pacific region for KlickEx clients, IBM plans to expands the network across the globe in 2018

IBM has announced the launch of a regional cross-border payment network utilising blockchain technology to improve efficiency and reduce costs associated with global payments for business.

The solution, which will be based on IBM blockchain technology, is the result of a collaborative work between the US technology giant, KlickEx Group, a regional money transfer operator, and Stellar, a non-profit organisation that supports an open source blockchain technology network.
