ECHO Netting Eyes Possible Asian Network But Many Hurdles Remain, Startup Delay Likely?

ECHO Netting, a project for netting foreign exchange transactions in Europe on a multilateral basis, is casting a furtive glance toward Asia.

Graham Duncan, ECHO’s project manager, says preliminary talks are underway to establish an Asian version of ECHO Netting but that it remains unclear whether there will be sufficient support for the project.
