A survey of buy-side equity trading desks shows 86% use TCA, which can make up 12% of their technology budget
A survey of buy-side equity trading desks has revealed some 86% of market participants use transaction cost analysis (TCA) tools, which can represent up to 12% of their overall technology budget, according to financial consultancy Greenwich Associates.
The growth in TCA tool usage has continued from 2014 to 2017, with the deployment of execution analytics suites increasing from 78% of trading desks four years ago to 86% last year. Some 12% of trading desks, however, are still resisting the use
