US Malaise Gives Euro Timely Boost

It's been another busy week for euro traders. Matthew Clements, economist at Prebon Yamane in London, casts an eye over the key market events

LONDON -- US economic fundamentals helped push the euro more than three big figures higher against the dollar last week with the currency moving past $0.9350 by early London trading Friday.

With the Turkish crisis of the previous week quickly forgotten, market attention turned back to the medium term outlook for the US economy.
