Euro bears close in as technicals turn

The euphoria that greeted the introduction of euro notes and coins is fading fast, writes Matthew Clements, economist at Prebon Yamane in London.

The euro fell to a new six-month low of $0.8670 last Friday morning (January 25) as both fundamental and technical factors meant renewed losses for euro/dollar.
