FXMarketSpace to spur consolidation

Iati said FXMarketSpace, the joint venture platform between Reuters and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), will facilitate consolidation by "spurring" the exchange model in FX. "If the market adopts an exchange model, rather than a fragmented dealer-driven one, the liquidity will logically consolidate," he said.
He does, however, expect to see more business going through spot brokers EBS and Reuters, as they enhance their products with algorithmic technology.
