Hong Kong Exchange Plans Launch Of Spot Look-Alike Futures Contracts

The Hong Kong Futures Exchange (HKFE) expects to launch its first currency futures contracts in March or April, confirms an exchange official (FXW, March 21). The contracts, which mirror the Chicago Mercantile Exchange's 'rolling spot' currency futures contracts, are being dubbed 'one-day rolling' currency futures, members of the exchange say.
