Alpha Credit Sets Up Forex Desk As New Branch Opens In London

Alpha Credit Bank A.E., the largest private-sector bank in Greece, is upgrading its representative office in London to a full branch starting next week, officials say. According to treasurer Patrick Swinden, who joined from Trustee Savings Bank (TSB) in London in October (FX Week, October 10), the bank is setting up a foreign exchange desk in London. Swinden says he has hired John Dalton from Banca Nazionale del Lavoro in London, where he was chief dealer, to take up the same position at Alpha
