Chemical Bank Adds To New York Ranks In New Bid To Boost Forex Trading Team

Chemical Bank is building its foreign exchange operations in New York against a background of a difficult 1994, which left many U.S. money centre and investment banks reassessing their treasury business often with an eye towards cutting back, officials say. Over the past few months, Chemical Bank has made a number of senior hires to enhance its New York trading group, says David Puth, managing director in charge of New York FX, interest-rate and derivatives trading.
