Chase Manhattan Bank is planning to beef up its efforts to serve regional banks in the U.K. and Continental Europe, officials at the bank say. The plan underlines Chase's commitment to service and attract regional bank foreign exchange business, following its decision to set up a foreign exchange desk in New York to deal exclusively with regional banks.
