SBC Plans 600-Position Dealing Room To House Forex, Interest Rate Traders

Swiss Bank Corp. (SBC) plans to build a 600-position dealing room - double the size of its current New York room - in Stamford, Connecticut by 1998. The new trading floor will house all of its New York-based foreign exchange and interest-rate traders and sales staff, as well as the Chicago-based options group that was acquired from O'Connor & Associates, officials say.
