Dow Jones Telerate has picked a 'darling of the City' as a keynote speaker for its annual foreign exchange conference next month. After inviting former Chancellor of the Exchequer Norman Lamont last year, Telerate is hedging its bets this time by giving the after lunch slot on March 13 to the opposition Labour Party's spokesperson on the City and financial services, the Scottish M.P. Alistair Darling. Other speakers will no doubt be more familiar to the foreign exchange industry. They include
