LONDON--Royal Bank of Scotland has exceeded industry expectations, taking five out of seven of its new treasury managers from the NatWest GFM side of its business--despite RBS being the aggressor in the takeover.

RBS has named Stephan Harris as global head of foreign exchange, currency options and equity derivatives in its Financial Markets business. Harris--also named as deputy treasurer--was NatWest’s former group treasurer and chief executive of NatWest GFM.
