Citi promotes retail head to replace Coyne

Citi has promoted Sanjay Madgavkar to global head of foreign exchange prime brokerage, following the resignation of Andy Coyne last week.

Madgavkar has been with Citi for more than seven years, most recently as head of FX margin trading in New York. In that role, he was responsible for the bank's margin spot FX platform, CitiFX Pro, which was launched in 2008 and upgraded in 2010 in a bid to appeal to high-end retail users. In 2011, the platform won FX Week's e-FX award for best retail platform
