Thomson Reuters acquires start-up options technology vendor

Thomson Reuters has acquired foreign exchange options risk management technology provider SigmaGenix as it seeks to further develop its options capabilities following the acquisition of Tradeweb's FX options platform last month.

Headquartered in London, SigmaGenix was established in 2011 and provides a range of risk management functions for FX options to hedge funds, including pricing and booking, connectivity and processing. It also has a partnership in place with Barclays to offer the ability
