EBS chief executive Gil Mandelzis has reshuffled the senior ranks of the broker's struggling anonymous trading venue, appointing Darryl Hooker as head of EBS Market to replace Nichola Hunter and John Schoen, previously co-heads.

The changes come as volumes on the platform continue to decline. In June, average daily volumes were 40% lower than the same month in 2013, clocking up only $77 billion of flows, compared with $128.8 the previous year.

Efforts to promote genuine liquidity on the venue
