BTIG expands New York FX desk
David O'Connor and Katie Shields join in New York
Financial markets broker-dealer BTIG has hired David O'Connor and Katie Shields as director of foreign exchange sales and director of fixed income, currencies and commodities (Ficc) operations, respectively.
Based in New York, O'Connor reports to Alan Circle and Martin Ferraro, managing directors and co-heads of FX at BTIG.
O'Connor joins from Macquarie Bank where he spent the last three years. He has worked in the FX market since 1992, holding positions at various banks, including Merrill Lynch
