Nomura hires Ed Mount and team from RBS

Ed Mount, former head of technology-based currency trading at The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), has joined Nomura as head of FX technology trading.

Based in New York, Mount is understood to have moved to the Japanese bank with his team from RBS. He will report to Rob Maher, global head of electronic markets.

Mount worked at RBS for more than three years, joining from Elysium Technology Group, of which he was the founder and chief executive.
