Credit Suisse appoints head of e-commerce

Matt Thomas joins the bank in New York from RBS

Matt Thomas, former head of foreign exchange bank sales and electronic markets at Royal Bank of Scotland, has joined Credit Suisse to run its macro e-commerce business, including FX.

Based in New York, he reports to Molly Duffy, head of FX sales for the Americas.

Thomas spent more than a decade at RBS, since joining in 2002, following a spell as an independent contractor in programming.

He is understood to have left RBS around November, when the bank made a series of cuts to its FX sales team
