Former Goldman Sachs sales chief to return

Ernesto Mercadante will move back in London

Ernesto Mercadante, former head of southern Europe, central and eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa (Ceemea) foreign exchange sales at JP Morgan, is set to rejoin Goldman Sachs in another sales role.

Based in London, Mercadante is understood to be joining the US bank as head of emerging market and continental FX sales, reporting to Jeroen Rombouts, head of FX sales for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Mercadante left JP Morgan last month and is understood to be on gardening leave. He
