Virtu appoints Nixon to board

John Nixon has been appointed a member of the board of directors at alternative market-maker Virtu Financial, joining from Icap where he had been group executive director for the Americas since 2008.

Nixon has more than 30 years' experience in international financial markets, and he has been responsible for business divisions and strategic acquisitions. He also served as a non-executive director for Icap between 1998 and 2002.
