The Chicago Mercantile Exchange reports that total currency futures volume for June was 2,442,332 contracts, up 14.4 per cent from the 2,134,693 contracts reported last year. Average daily volume was 116,302 contracts, up from 106,735 contracts reported a year ago. Month-end open interest was 341,859 positions outstanding, up 19.6 per cent from 285,787 positions a year ago. Total currency options volume was 620,447 contracts for the month of June, down 30.5 per cent from 1,359,413 contracts a
