The announcement last week by DocuPro and Dow Jones Telerate that their joint venture pocket-sized pager was going nationwide in the U.S. highlights an important shift in FX trading technology. The paging systems that now dominate the foreign exchange marketplace have only been in existence for the past seven years or so, but in that relatively short time, have evolved into what many in the market deem "the currency trader's best friend."
